Sean Gilshannon

Founder and CEO

I have over 25 years of project portfolio management experience for such companies as Microsoft, Medtronic, T-Mobile and other high tech corporations - particularly in R&D environments with complex project portfolios and the complex resource management challenges associated with them. I formed ReProject - Home ReProject’s predecessor - about 3 years ago to serve those sorts of clients.

The catalyst for forming Home ReProject came from my own recent home remodel project. Halfway through it, I thought the same principles and similar tools apply equally well to the highly decentralized home remodeling industry. My own home remodel project suffered from the following market system problems.

(1) There was little glue holding together the decentralized and informal network of independent contractors. All of them were good, and really busy because of it. That’s a natural dilemma. I didn’t want contractors who were NOT busy, but I wanted the project done in a reasonable amount of time - especially so I didn’t have to go without a kitchen for too long.
(2) So, we couldn’t get the right person on the job at hand at the right time in order to get the job done quickly. We went without a functioning kitchen for too long. That was not fun.
(3) There was a persistent lack of trust throughout the whole ecosystem involved in our project and we were not in an unusual circumstance by any means.

The project was painful only because it didn’t get done efficiently. My home is now beautiful and I paid a fair price for the work. Hence, I remain committed to the high quality and fair value that came from this team of small independent contractors. Home ReProject could have delighted me and made the contractors lives MUCH easier.

What makes Home ReProject such a good solution for the problems stated above lies in the data structure and scalable technology. We do NOT require Network Owners, Members, or Customers to need new technology or learn a new trick. Our system is very easy to use and delivers just the right amount of project management to the remodeling effort.
